The implementation of the project "Equipment saves lives" of the Municipality of Montana is underway

The Municipality of Montana and the Romanian Municipality of Mozatsei are implementing a joint project entitled "Equipment saves lives". The project is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund within the Cross-Border Cooperation Program Interreg V-A Romania - Bulgaria 2014-2020.

At the moment, its implementation is underway, working on building the necessary conditions for successful implementation of its activities - forming a team., initiating tender procedures, active communication between the partners, etc..

The main goal of the activities is to create preconditions for successful risk management in case of floods and fires. In its entirety, the project is a set of activities, aimed at effective risk management, prevention and response to natural disasters in the cross-border region.

A number of actions are planned to create conditions for risk management in the municipality of Montana and the municipality of Mozatsei through the supply of specialized equipment., development of analytical and strategic documents and organization of events and trainings for raising the awareness of the citizens in case of natural disasters.

The project has a duration 18 months and should end in March 2020 year.
